The Seattle Times Media Solutions, the award-winning digital agency arm of The Seattle Times, is actively seeking a talented Regional Sales Representative. This individual will be directly responsible for selling advertising solutions across a broad range of multimedia products offered by The Seattle Times, including the full suite of digital solutions. Successful candidates will uncover new opportunities with existing advertisers and discover new ones through prospecting and cold calling. Through this process, they will uncover key decision makers and build a pipeline for future business. Successful candidates will be assertive, positive, goal-oriented self-starters driven to succeed.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of two years in newspaper advertising sales experience preferred. Excellent knowledge and proficiency in selling against competitive media including broadcast, direct mail and other print media.

  • Media-experience.
  • In depth sales knowledge of the full suite of digital media products, including SEO, SEM, Programmatic Display, Social, Website and Directory Services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated persuasive, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Must be able to identify, qualify, generate, and track new business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with existing and new advertisers.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned sales territory, valid driver’s license, meeting insurance requirements, and a good driving record are essential.
  • Organizational skills, effective time management, and ability to work independently within a supportive team environment.
  • Self-starter, positive, assertive. Goal-oriented.
