We are looking for a Sr. Windows Systems Administrator to join our team.  Successful applicants will possess outstanding customer service skills for internal customers and clients, and have a proven command of technical expertise in our Windows environment. Customer service in this role extends beyond simply completing projects and closing tickets: success is measured by an innate ability to solve critical problems with imagination and creativity while remaining patient when dealing with complex systems and actively listening to clients’ needs throughout.

 

Major Functions:

  • Management and configuration of Active Directory
  • Management and configuration of E-mail, E-mail Security and Sharepoint on Office 365
  • Management of SAN and NAS technologies – Dell/EMC Compellent a plus.
  • Management of DHCP and DNS systems.
  • Management of File and Print systems
  • Exceptional network troubleshooting skills in mission critical systems.
  • Familiarization with security standards (ISO, PCI, PII, PHI, HIPAA).
  • Tier 3 support of service desk
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience directly related to Windows System Administration Windows 2003/2008/2012 and Desktop support with increasing responsibilities administering client/server applications.
  • 4+ years administrative experience with VMware.
  • Experience Using PowerShell and Writing and maintaining PowerShell Scripts
  • 2+ years of experience managing e-mail through office 365.
  • Understanding of Storage Area Network concepts (SAN).
  • Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common network services such as Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, SSH, DHCP and troubleshooting as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience and understanding with Cloud and Virtualization technologies.
  • Experience in the following areas: Patch Management, Anti-Virus, Clustering, OS Upgrades, computer security, scripting automation and system monitoring and logging.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to write proposals and price out projects.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ensure successful planning, deployment, installation, management, and upgrades of products within required timelines and resource allocations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
  • Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 and Linux a plus.
  • Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.
  • Manage assigned tickets to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide root-cause analysis, contribute to knowledge base, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology.
  • Requires the ability to effectively interact with internal and external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between business units, organizations, and vendors.

 

Physical Skills:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a workstation.
  • Ability to physically manipulate computing equipment at datacenters or at end user’s workstations.
