The primary responsibilities of the Business Development Director will be to grow the revenue and profit from the sale of digital marketing solutions to local advertisers of our radio stations.

This individual will be responsible for working with our radio station general managers and general sales managers to recruit, train, lead and manage a team of digital advertising sales specialists located in our radio stations. In turn, these digital advertising sales specialists will work with our local radio sales team to sell compelling digital advertising solutions to local advertisers.
This individual will also be responsible for assembling a comprehensive product offering that covers all the digital marketing needs that a local advertiser may have (including paid search campaigns; display advertising campaigns; Facebook advertising campaigns, local SEO, etc.) and for recruiting, training, and managing an operations team responsible for fulfilling, optimizing and reporting on all client campaigns.

This individual will be the liaison between the local market digital sales team, the operations / fulfillment team and the centralized fulfillment providers. This role will be highly focused on first maximizing revenues and then on ensuring digital campaigns are fulfilled on time and deliver results that meet or exceed client expectations.

This individual must maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of local digital sales, marketing and fulfillment including sales best practices, digital product offerings, processes, workflows and KPIs. They must also be able to develop campaign proposals for clients, and efficiently translate campaign requirements into effective, actionable information for fulfillment providers. They will work closely with sales and fulfillment teams to drive superior campaign design and execution and results for customers.
Ideal candidate can develop and implement new digital revenue streams while training traditional media consultants on how these new products fit into our overall portfolio and strategy. This individual will be asked to join sales representatives in the field to articulate the intricacies of digital advertising to our media partners and prospects.
Requirements Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to travel to individual markets
• 6+ years of experience of digital advertising and marketing.
• Successful experience working in a goal oriented, highly accountable environment.
• Expert knowledge of digital media including knowledge in content marketing, SEO/SEM, display ad networks, video, mobile, IP Targeting, social media, native, website development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment that includes Account Executives, sales support, and sales management.
