SUPERVISOR: Center Director
STATUS: Exempt

The Accounting Manager will provide general bookkeeping and accounting support to the Center Director, Assistant Center Director, and Administrators of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for working with directors and program managers to assist with financial and budgeting matters necessary for the smooth operation of the SF RJKCCC and Railton Place.
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields.
2. At least one year of experience with bookkeeping, accounting, budgeting, and financing.
3. Must be available to work flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends and holidays, depending upon seasonal program needs and Manager on Duty schedule.
4. Experience in bookkeeping and accounting software, preferably Shelby and Vivid.
5. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
6. Experience creating and updating corporate fiscal budgets.
7. Be cordial, friendly and professional in carrying out all job responsibilities.
8. Ability to prioritize work and multi-task simultaneous projects.
9. Quick to learn.
10. Must be flexible and adaptable to changes.
11. Able to type at least 40 wpm.
12. Have an essential proficiency in Windows Office, which includes Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
13. Have good English, spelling and communication skills.
14. Have good interaction and phone skills.
15. Ability to interact professionally in all contact with the public and Salvation Army Officers and staff.
16. Be able to work with all ethnic and socio-economic populations.
17. Ability to communicate effectively and accurately.
18. Abide by Salvation Army Policies and Procedures and have an acceptance of Salvation Army philosophy and mission.
