The Ohana Keiki Preschool is dedicated to providing children a safe environment where they can grow socially, mentally, physically and spiritually.

The Janitor/Maintenance position requires indoor cleaning &
replenishing of supplies in facility bathrooms, trash removal in classrooms,
bathrooms, porches & office areas. Daily sweeping and mopping of classrooms and bathrooms, sweeping and mopping of kitchen and hallway areas, Monday and Wednesdays only.
Position also requires maintenance of facility, minor repairs of facility, i.e. changing of light bulbs, minor plumbing issues, small painting repairs, and knowledge of building light and irrigation timer mechanism’s.

This is a Part-Time Position that requires 19 hours per week maximum.
Qualification Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License
Current Physical & TB Clearance High School Diploma or Higher
CPR & First Aid Certification Card
Current Finger Print & Criminal History Background Check
All requirements shall be kept updated
· Maintaining playground area that is safe from all harmful hazards.
· Keeping the environment clean and appropriate for daily activities.
· Keeping the environment clean and sanitized for daily activities.
· Able to work with the other staff members in carrying out daily duties and
· Participate in workshops and training sessions when available, for personal growth.
· Any other duties assigned by the Head Teacher, Director, or Officer of the Salvation Army.
· Communicate any concerns with Head Teacher, Corp. Officers and Director.
· Display awareness of the mission of the Salvation Army to the public in a positive
manner at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned. Able to lift up to 40lbs.

The position requires sitting; climbing and/or balancing; stooping, kneeling, bending,
stretching, crouching and/or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand
coordination; use of vision; driving a vehicle; pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 25-50
pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds; travelling by airplane.
The position requires talking to co-workers, clients, vendors; requires written
communication to and from co-workers, clients, vendor; talking on the telephones;
requires responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers, clients, and vendors;
requires training/giving verbal and written instructions; requires receiving verbal and
written instructions; requires reading; requires visiting/working at other worksites;
requires communication via the latest technologies
· Valid Hawaii driver’s license (if needed)
· Prioritize multiple work tasks to meet tight deadlines
· Travel off-island as necessary(if needed)
Use janitorial tools and equipment, use hand tools and equipment, office equipment such
as computers, photocopiers, scanners, calculators, etc.
Most work will be indoors and outdoors at Salvation Army facilities and Corp Officers
