JOB SUMMARY: Provide accounting support and process payroll for assigned units, also act as divisional payroll processing backup in the absence of other payroll personnel. Assist departmental staff as needed.

• Process accounts payable, cash receipts, accounts receivable invoicing daily and timely, to include the following
o Account coding
o Entering data into different systems and databases
o Filing
o Process checks and obtain signatures
o Remit necessary documents to units
o Recording journal entries as necessary
o Communicate with vendors and customers
o Assist departmental staff as needed
o Interact with Accountants, Corps Officers/Staff and other Finance and HR department personnel as needed
• Process payroll:
o Collect, verify, enter, and import/export of regular payroll for the assigned units
o Act as backup for other payroll personnel in their absence as needed
o Maintains related records, including payroll reports.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

The position requires sitting; stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and/or
crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; use of vision;
pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 1-25 pounds.

The position requires talking to co-workers, unit staff, and vendors; requires written
communication to and from co-workers unit staff, and vendors; talking on the telephones;
requires responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers unit staff, and vendors;
requires training/giving verbal and written instructions; requires receiving verbal and
written instructions; requires writing/composing written language; requires reading;
requires visiting/working at other worksites; requires communication via the latest

· Associate’s degree in Accounting
· Work experience in computerized accounting system and payroll systems
· Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word experience level
· Prioritize multiple work tasks to meet tight deadlines

Use office equipment such as computers, printers, photocopiers, scanners, etc.
Most work will be indoors at Divisional Headquarters. Attendance at trainings in Hawaii
may be required.
