ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK
Department: Finance
Position Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk
Supervisor: Assistant Controller
FLSA Status: Non- Exempt (Full time)

JOB SUMMARY:
Provide accounting support (emphasis on receivables) to assigned
corps. Assist departmental staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Process cash receipts and donations, A/R monthly billing, and
some A/P daily and timely, to include the following:
· Account coding
· Entering data on the computer
· Filing
· Process checks and obtain signatures
· Remit necessary documents to units
· Communicate with customers and vendors
· Assist departmental staff as needed
· Interact with Accountants, Corps Officers/Staff and other Finance
Department personnel and Divisional Secretary for Business as needed
· Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The position requires sitting; stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and/or
crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; use of vision;
pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 1-25 pounds.

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
The position requires talking to co-workers, unit staff, and vendors; requires written
communication to and from co-workers unit staff, and vendors; talking on the telephones;
requires responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers unit staff, and vendors;
requires training/giving verbal and written instructions; requires receiving verbal and
written instructions; requires writing/composing written language; requires reading;
requires visiting/working at other worksites; requires communication via the latest
technologies

SKILLS/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
· Associate’s degree in Accounting
· Work experience in computerized accounting system; familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
· Prioritize multiple work tasks to meet tight deadlines

EQUIPMENT NEEDS:
Use office equipment such as computers, printers, photocopiers, scanners, etc.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Most work will be indoors at Divisional Headquarters. Attendance at trainings in Hawaii may be required.
