Education and Work Experience:
1. Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
2. Work/Professional Experience: At least one year of previous work experience.
Scope of Position:
• Maintain a neat and tidy work space, ensuring that all trash is disposed of daily
• Must be a team player and willing to do tasks assigned that are reasonable to your position, even if it is outside your regular duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Must have the ability to be a team player
• Must be able to communicate well customers/donors.
• Must be detail minded
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• The Thrift Store Production Associate will provide support to The Salvation Army administration in areas of production, customer/community relations and processing of donations in The Salvation Army Thrift Store
• Wear The Salvation Army approved identification when at work
• Greet all customers and donors, and offer them assistance.
• Process Clothing, Bric-N-Brac, Books, Toys and Electronics and other donated items. This will include but not limited to receiving items from donors, giving appropriate receipts, cleaning items as needed or directed, pricing and placing/removing items on sales floor


Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
• Agility to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach over head
• Ability to operate a telephone
• Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Working Conditions:
• This position requires long hours standing. Often, greeting customers in adverse weather, both cold and hot.
