POSITION SUMMARY: The Multimedia Specialist (MMS) is responsible for the development and completion of video and/or photography-based content reflective of the Kroc Center Hawaii brand, and the programs and services it offers.

The candidate selected for this position will follow and ensure adherence to The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures and maintain the Code of Ethics policy, which has been established for the Kroc Center Hawaii. The candidate selected for this position will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in his or her professional life and the manner in which he or she represents The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community.

1. Bachelor’s degree in creative media, marketing or related field or related work experience.
2. Minimum one year of experience in a marketing, videographer or creative media position. Must provide samples of work.
3. Minimum one-year experience in project management.
4. General knowledge and experience:
a. Video production process (pre-production, production, post-production)
b. Photography and photo editing
c. Excellent writing skills and copywriting experience in a corporate, nonprofit or educational environment.
d. High attention to detail, consistent reliable follow through and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
e. Must have excellent computer skills; Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
f. Experience with Canon DSLR and Sony camera systems.
5. Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be accepted.
6. Must be able to push/pull/lift/carry 25–50 pounds.

2. Strong motivational and management skills.

1. Produces video and photographic content to be utilize for marketing and promotion of Kroc Center Hawaii including success stories, recap videos, promotional videos and social videos.
2. Works with Marketing Manager on developing a video production schedule that aligns with overall marketing goals.
3. Maintains library/archives of photography and videos, including a healthy inventory of b-roll footage.
4. Works with outside vendors including photographers, printers, equipment rentals as needed.
5. Work with departmental staff to accomplish organizational and departmental goals.
6. Able to work weekends/evening hours as needed and must have willingness and ability to travel.
7. Demonstrates good judgment, resourcefulness, flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
8. Perform special projects as assigned. Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
9. Provide regular reporting verbally and in presentation format on all of the above activities.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

The position requires sitting; climbing and/or balancing; stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and/or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; use of vision; driving a vehicle; pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 25-50 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds. This employee may also be required to work weekends and evenings.

4. Possesses sensitivity and awareness of diverse cultural perspectives and the ability to work with diverse populations.
5. Be able to work with all ethnic and socio-economic populations.

Most work will be on the Kroc Center Hawaii campus. Travel to offsite locations as needed.

Equipment used includes cameras and related equipment, and general office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, scanners, printers, fax machines, telephone, microphones, audio-visual equipment and 10-key calculator.

The candidate selected for this position must have a valid driver’s license and insured transportation. On an annual basis, employees are required to participate in The Salvation Army’s Fleet Safety Program.
