JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION

STATUS: FULL-TIME

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in providing customer service to prospective vehicle buyers.
• The ability to maintain records.
• Understand and follow instructions, both written and verbal.
• Able to operate basic office machines including computer, calculator, photocopier, time clock and telephone.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, MSWord, Excel, and Access with ability to learn additional software as appropriate.
• Ability to spell correctly and edit correspondence for correct grammar and usage of the English language.
• Ability to track on multiple tasks efficiently, completing each in a professional and timely fashion.
• Professional judgment and integrity in holding in confidence all information pertaining to beneficiaries, families and co-workers.
• Commitment to support and apply the philosophy and goals of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Program and the ARP Mission Statement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to operate a wireless phone or radio.
• Able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Work with the Department Supervisors to ensure that quality control is maintained for all goods sorted and the maximum amount of quality goods is available.

2. Ensure the merchandise pricing conforms to established pricing policies.

3. Use in the most efficient manner all personnel under your supervision, both employees and beneficiaries.

4. Conduct regular inspections of the Departments to insure the constant processing of materials and as a deterrent to pilfering.

5. Train personnel so that all employees will be able to do any job as necessary by personnel requirements. This includes truck drivers and donation attendants.

6. Supervise and organize the flow of materials into and out of the Departments.

7. Provide security for the Departments and the materials stored in them.

8. Eliminate stashes of merchandise located in the all Departments, break areas or elsewhere and take necessary disciplinary action for individuals involved.

9. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and reporting all safety violations to the Production Manager and the Safety designate. Ensure that all necessary corrective measures and repairs are completed in a timely manner.

10. Adhere to the policy that no items may be taken, given, lent or purchased except by the explicit approval of the Administrator.

11. Secure the all Department at the end of the day by ensuring that everyone has left the areas that all points of access to the Departments are closed and secured.

12. Assure that established personnel policies and directives (smoking regulation, lunch / break times, Etc.) are followed by all assigned personnel (beneficiaries and employees) and the disciplinary measures are taken when necessary.

13. Assure all Departments adhere to Review standards.

14. Overtime: Any and all overtime must have the written approval of Director of Operations or Administrator.

15. Other written or verbal duties as may be assigned, from time to time by the Production Manager, Administrator or their designated representative.

16. Coordinate all aspects of the sale of donated vehicles, including:
• Inspect donated vehicles to determine a fair and reasonable sales price, in accordance with ARP policies.
• Inspect drive-in donated vehicles for condition and salability.
• Display vehicles and prices according to policy.
• Provide customer service to potential buyers and assist in showing vehicles to buyers.
• Coordinate with Administrative Assistant for the processing of any necessary paperwork.
• Oversee the security of the donated vehicle parking lot, opening lot in the morning and securing the lot at the close of business each day.
• Assist in maintaining the donated vehicle lot in a safe and orderly condition and see that all potential safety hazards are corrected.
• Coordinate the transfer of title and payment of vehicles per ARP Policies.
17. Follow safety measures established and maintained by ARP policy and government regulations.
18. Sale of rags and other recyclables as well of movement of trash must be monitored and managed as needed.
