POSITION: Donation Pick-Up Driver
SUPERVISOR: Commanding Officer
STATUS: Part Time (Hourly)
PAY RATE: Minimum Wage

OVERVIEW:

The role of the Donation Pick-Up Driver is to pick up donations from our various retail stores at designated times, bring them back to The Salvation Army Clovis Corps, unload, weigh, stock/put away donated items, and report stats daily to appropriate programs and agencies.
Requirements DUTIES:

• Drive to designated retail stores
• Pick up donations
• Deliver all donated items to the Salvation Army Clovis Corps
• Weigh donated items
• Fill out donation log
• Timely and accurately reporting of daily stats to appropriate programs and agencies
• Keep Food Pantry organized when unloading and storing donated goods eliminating any safety hazards
• Rotate food for distribution according to expiration dates
• Keep inside and outside of van/ truck clean and orderly
• Break down and stack all cardboard
• Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system of reported stats
• Follow all fiscal and financial policies and procedures implemented by the Clovis Salvation Army
• Greets and directs office visitors as needed
• Maintain a close working relationship with other Corps personnel
• Regular attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
• All other duties as assigned

GENERAL NOTES AND PRECAUTIONS

• Use proper methods when lifting. If an item is too heavy, get help
• When working with volunteers, clear communication and supervision is required
• All vandalism or vehicle damage must be reported to the Commanding Officer
• Any injuries must be reported immediately to the Commanding Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work with limited or no supervision
• Ability to work with other staff members, volunteers, store workers and managers is a must
• Ability to speak English fluently to communicate with store personnel
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities
• Must have good communication and organizational skills
• Must be a team-player
• Must be goal-oriented and self-motivated
• Capable of maintaining high level of integrity

PC Printer Fax Machine Driving Vehicle
Copy Machine Calculator Telephone Pallet Jack

Miscellaneous office equipment including but not limited to staplers, three-hole punch, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as carts, pallet jacks, boxes, crates, and reach overhead
• Ability to operate telephone, desktop or laptop computer
• Ability to drive under all weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60lbs
