The Salvation Army Family Store in Juneau, Alaska, needs a part-time STORE CLERK/SORTER to assist in the processing of donations and goods to be sold at the store.

This is a part-time position, approximately 24 hours per week; pay rate is $9.80/hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE but are not limited to:
• Process incoming donations (clothing, bric-a-brac, and other) which may include: sorting, cleaning, pricing, displaying, and merchandising items
• Run cash/sales register
• Greet and assist shoppers
• Assist with store cleaning to maintain a safe and pleasant shopping and working environment
• Answer phones as needed

• Ability to politely and professionally interact with co-workers and the public in person and on the phone
• Must be able to stay on feet for long periods and lift 50 pounds
• Adaptable to working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
• Ability to follow instructions, exercise organizational skills, and maintain attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with flexible daily duties
• Cash/sales register experience desirable
• Acceptable background checks required
