Description We have a challenging position for a qualified Mechanic. Responsibilities will include the service, maintenance, and repair of compressors, engines, generators, and pumps. Perform maintenance and major mechanical overhauls with minimal supervision. Verify dimensions, specifications, and tolerances per manufacturer’s specifications. Understand and be able to troubleshoot engine and compressor support equipment (i.e., air fuel ratio systems, electronic ignition, compressor panels) and be abreast of current technology. Maintain compressor spare parts inventory.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of: company standard practices, emergency plan, operating inspection, maintenance plan and all safety requirements; gas compression, water and oil tanks, natural gas engines and
compressors, plant computer and control equipment.

• Skill in: basic arithmetic and oral and written communications. Computer skills using Excel & Word.

• Ability to: lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.; move items weighing up to 500 lbs. with equipment assistance; use various hand tools and hoists; hear; see objects at close range and in the distance; distinguish colors and relationship between objects; understand and complete oral and written instructions; communicate effectively orally and in writing and receive and convey information.

• Requirements: Must possess a valid drivers license; an acceptable driving record; undergo random drug testing subject to DOT requirements; must adhere to all policies established by the
company, including the QEP Resources Business Ethics and Compliance Policy; and regular attendance.
