Description Provides routine geological and administrative support to division geology, land, and/or engineering personnel. Creates, loads, enters, verifies, manipulates, analyzes and reports data related to cross-sections, maps and development/exploration activity. Provides user support for software systems to other technical support and professional personnel.

Responsibilities:
- Files, retrieves, creates and maintains geological/geophysical data possibly including 2D & 3D seismic trace data
- Loads and updates well data and well locations in existing databases using appropriate software
- Provides routine support duties in all exploration functions including creation of cross-sections, digitized maps, play and activity maps, PowerPoint slides, montages, charts and reports as required
- Generates and compiles information required for government regulatory compliance
- Maintains company geological databases, file systems, and records archives
- Prepares support documentation for management approval presentations
- Provides routine maintenance and re-supply of appropriate equipment (printers, plotter, etc) as required
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
• Five or more years of oil & gas experience required or college degree with three years oil & gas experience
• Excellent knowledge of specific Landmark GeoGraphix Discovery and SMT Kingdom
• Excellent knowledge of standard geological/geophysical displays and well logs
• Experience maintaining and manipulating databases (Access, Oracle, SQL, etc)
• Good communication skills
• Excellent analytical & mathematical skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills a plus
• Experience with ARIES, particularly data loading and project set-up, beneficial
