Description	QEP Field Services is seeking a senior level engineer in the midstream group (natural gas gathering and processing) based out of the Rock Springs office. Position requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Word and Excel), while previous experience in process/piping simulation software and CAD is preferred. Applicants must have outstanding communications skills (oral and written) and an ability to translate the most technical of concepts to all levels. Assignments require limited travel to remote locations and occasional irregular hours. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and optimizing process plant operations for enhanced performance, reliability and throughput capacity and active participation in the established Process Safety Management program. Position also involves management and/or technical support for major capital projects with the expectation that the applicant would advance multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements	Minimum qualifications include a BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; an emphasis in Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer and Fluid Dynamics is preferred. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Minimum of 7 years of applicable experience required.
