Description
•Supervise and manage a staff of permit agents, regulatory analysts, biologists, and technicians in order to promptly obtain federal and state APD’s, ROW’s, and landowner agreements, along with maintaining compliance to all permit requirements primarily throughout the Uinta Basin, UT.
•Coordinate with Geology, Land, Drilling, and Operations Groups to maintain a large inventory of APD’s to keep in front of several, accelerating, development drilling programs.
•Serve as liaison between QEP Energy Company and various federal, state, and industry partners on the completion of NEPA projects.
•Represent QEP at local, state and federal agency interactions relating to NEPA.
•Organize and maintain reporting tools to keep management and stakeholders regular apprised of all Regulatory projects and permitting challenges.
•Mentor staff to ensure continuous development.
Requirements
•Working Knowledge of NEPA, federal and state oil and gas regulations including well permitting, experience and/or knowledge of wildlife, ecology, hydrology, and construction/reclamation processes.
•Ability to prioritize work, perform efficiently and accurately while simultaneously working on multiple projects. Work effectively with both internal and external business contacts.
•Skills: strong project management and interpersonal communication.
•Requirements: A high school diploma/GED and a minimum of eight years of regulatory experience, along with two years supervisory experience. Functional understanding of and the ability to manage local, state, and federal oil and gas permitting programs. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Twelve plus years of related experience is desired, but not required.
Travel Requirements: Position is based in the Denver office, but will require frequent travel. (Must be willing and able to travel all times during the year).
