Mitchell is looking for an Information Security & Compliance Analyst to join the San Diego Corporate Headquarters. This individual is an integral part of a rapidly growing technology firm. As a Security & Compliance Analyst, this individual will add value by ensuring the organization’s compliance with security and regulatory requirements (i.e. HIPAA, SSAE16, ISO27001, SOX, etc.) and industry best practices in the security space. As a member of Information Security & Risk Management, this individual will also contribute to security-related initiatives within the IT Security Risk Assessment, Third-Party Management, Personnel Security, Vulnerability Management, Incident Management, and Business Continuity programs as well as various other security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have IT audit experience and/or significant consulting experience relevant to this position.
The candidate should feel comfortable performing security assessments over a variety of areas, preparing reports of assessment findings, and presenting to IT Management and relevant stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for conducting security incident investigations and reports.
In addition to the audit, compliance, and assessment requirements of the Information Security & Compliance Analyst’s role, the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute and manage other areas within the Security Management arena. This includes projects related to such topics as: Security Governance, Access Control, as well as various security initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include:
Responsible for identifying areas for improvement in IT control environments and identifying areas for automation and gained efficiencies in current controls for both internal controls at Mitchell and controls at our vendors.
Serve as a key liaison between the IT Security & Risk Management and the business. The primary goal is to align IT and business goals and gain business support for IT control and security efforts.
Actively contribute and manage a wide array of security projects. It will require out-of-the-box thinking, as the Security & Risk Management office is heavily consulted on a wide range of items.
