You will be responsible for gathering data, developing batch and real-time processing for data scrubbing and storing, creating data access processes as well as maintaining data management architectures.  You will be part of the BI team delivering all reporting and BI projects within the organization.

A successful Business Intelligence Data Engineer will:

  • Design, construct, install, test and maintain scalable data management systems
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices
  • Build prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
  • Develop data models for database structures
  • Design, document, construct and deploy applications that are scalable, secure, high performance and reliable.
  • Create custom software components and analytics applications
  • Install and update disaster recovery procedures
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with data architect, on project goals
  • Develop high performing ETL tools
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field  with a focus in data management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skilled in Analytical problem solving
  • Experience with cloud architecture and solutions (MS Azure preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database management system software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft TFS
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Visio Studio
  • Exposure to agile methodologies
  • Experience with
    • Distributed Storage solutions
    • Statistical analysis and modeling
    • Database architectures
    • Data modeling
    • Data warehousing solutions
    • Data mining
    • Data visualization
  • Ability to respond strongly and positively to challenging work and deadlines.
  • Work as an integral part of a talented team in a fast-paced, proactive environment
