This is a non-exempt, entry level role and requires someone who thrives on getting their hands dirty in all facets of HR, asking questions, providing answers, and suggesting and implementing process improvements.  You will provide administrative support in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, corporate training, corporate communications, team member relations, off boarding, HRIS, payroll and compliance.  Visit to find out more about The Mark Travel Corporation.

Following are some of the responsibilities of our HR Coordinator:

  • Recruiting and onboarding:
    • Support aspects of full cycle recruiting for entry level positions following LME’s Unique Method of Hiring and the direction/guidance of HR leadership
    • Provide phone screen support and feedback to hiring leader from an HR standpoint
    • Actively participate and engage in recruiting activities internally and externally as needed
    • Enter and monitor candidate background checks and employment verifications
    • Support in scheduling phone screens and interviews
    • Create, audit and file new hire team member and benefits files
    • Review resumes in UltiPro (Applicant Tracking System) & make candidate recommendations for recruitment team and hiring leaders’ review
    • Maintain Candidate Tracking Lifecycle spreadsheet
    • Coordinate SPOT Team Member Referrals program
    • Responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of quarterly Meet & Greet sessions
  • Human Resource functions:
    • Review of all incoming Unemployment Insurance mail.  Coordinate initial response with input/final review by assigned HR Manager and Payroll as needed
    • Support with offboarding process for exiting team members Participate as a Unique Ability Team member of HR project teams and conduct research and benchmarking on various HR topics or initiatives
    • Audit and maintain compliance postings under direction of HR leadership
  • Corporate training:
    • Present on assigned areas in LME Orientation sessions
    • Coordinate orientation sessions and prepare the materials for training programs
  • HRIS:
    • Accurate and timely data entry within HRIS and related systems and completing audits of results
    • Processing and tracking monetary contributions and tuition reimbursement requests
    • Prepare and maintain complex benefits mailings and correspondence
    • Quarterly time off hours audits
    • Support in resolving team member inquiries
    • Prepare benefit enrollment materials
    • Respond to all Verifications of Employment
  • Administrative/technical support:
    • Support in the coordination of company-wide activities and initiatives
    • Tracking HR budget expenses and keeping annual budget spreadsheet tracker updated
    • Supporting Applicant Tracking System (ATS) upgrade efforts
    • Department filing, copying and assembling
    • Mail and incoming fax distribution
    • Copier/printer maintenance
    • Coding and tracking of all department expenses using online Accounts Payable system
  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study is desired, or an equivalent combination of education and related administrative experience 
  • Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant administrative role
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing the MS Office suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
  • Experience creating reports and manipulating data 
  • Experience using an HRIS and/or payroll systems, particularly with Ultimate Software, is a plus
  • Professional experience, confidence and presence to effectively handle interpersonal relationships and sensitive HR issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work with great accuracy and be detail oriented
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, teamwork and flexibility
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • The ability to see the big picture and how the work performed supports and contributes to the department’s goals and objectives. Natural drive to step in and take ownership of tasks
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, team member relations and HR information systems. Knowledge of employment law and HR practices
