Reporting Relationships

  • Ministry Solutions Specialist reports to Chief Operating Officer.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Serves as a primary liaison between CPS employees / LCMS districts/LCMS Employers and Ministry Solutions products.
    • Provides daily professional and personalized customer service to CPS employees and LCMS districts/employers for a variety of product or service lines such as; Compensation Decision Support Tools, Payroll Services, and future Ministry Solutions that will be developed and deployed.
    • Resolve issues including payroll and tax-related matters, “how-to” product inquiries or recommended solutions, billing or system issues and input/output issues; coordinates and resolves issues through Ministry Solutions product vendors or internal resources as needed.
    • Identifies major trends or issues and assumes responsibility for resolution or escalation.
    • Translates knowledge gaps and CPS / LCMS district/employer needs into an educational plan; coordinates training between Ministry Solutions product and needed entity; conducts formal and informal training as necessary.
    • Positions appropriate management and executive CPS staff with key Ministry Solutions product contacts to ensure continued satisfaction.
    • Facilitates communication among CPS, LCMS districts/employers and Ministry Solutions product personnel.
  • Monitors and analyzes Ministry Solutions product data in CPS system; identifies present and future performance gaps.  Ensures CPS systems accurately reflect participation in Ministry Solutions products or services.
  • Conducts in-depth assessment to develop and prioritize strategies for CPS / LCMS districts/employers; consults, advises and makes recommendations based on analysis.
  • Researches, analyzes and recommends new Ministry Solutions products, process improvements, service enhancements and technological solutions.
  • Monitors change initiatives, working closely with Ministry Solutions product and CPS / LCMS districts/employers.
  • Provides CPS with regular reports and status updates.
  • Develops and maintains advanced technical knowledge of Ministry Solutions product systems and processes to ensure Ministry Solutions products meet the needs of CPS / LCMS districts/employers.  Helps design processes for efficiencies and consistency.
  • Builds strong relationships with Ministry Solutions product representatives, CPS employees and LCMS districts/employers.
  • Supports and supplements Marketing/Products & Services efforts; may include interfacing with LCMS employers, aiding in the decision-making process, serving as the first point of contact after an employer adopts Ministry Solutions product and providing consultation to Benefit Consultants.
  • Processes and/or aides in the enrollment and billing of ministry solutions.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline, preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.  Experience or exposure to payroll systems, human resource tools or strategies, compensation strategies, or benefits is desired but not required.
  • Experience monitoring, analyzing and interpreting system data.
