Description

The Lending & Real Estate Management intern will work with the Loans and Real Estate Department, which is responsible for loan origination, loan underwriting, loan documentation and loan servicing of all loans to borrowers throughout The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod church body. Borrowers include congregations, schools, church workers, districts and recognized service organizations.  You will have contact with the chief credit officer and be involved with projects throughout the various areas of the department that would include:

•     General financial industry trends and best practices for loan underwriting and/or loan processing

•     Special Projects

•     Develop minimum guideline for financial reporting

•     Intra-department rotation:

•     National Lending

•     Loan Resolution Group

•     Credit Review

•     Loan Processing

•     Loan Operations

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Business, pre-law or liberal arts related degree focus

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office

• Active involvement in campus life

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Completing sophomore or junior year of college
