Description

Organization Profile

The primary mission of the LCEF is to provide financial resources and related services for ministry, witness, and outreach of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod.  In so doing it shall raise funds primarily through the issuance of notes and other debt instruments.  Its assets shall be used exclusively for the following:  To provide financing and services for the acquisition of sites; the construction of facilities; the purchase of buildings and equipment; operating expenses; professional church worker education; the residential housing needs of professional church workers; and other purposes approved by its governing board consistent with the ministry and mission of the Synod under policies approved by the Board of Directors of Synod.

 

Reporting Relationships

  • Position reports to Facilities Services Supervisor.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide support functions on all projects involving floor modifications and repairs.
  • Work with the Customer Advocacy team to ensure the provisioning of office space, furniture and related needs for new hires.
  • Ensure timely quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify facilities issues and provide corrective solutions to the Facilities Services Supervisor.
  • Assist the Facilities Services Supervisor with the upkeep of the floor, which includes a wide variety of maintenance operations, equipment installations, equipment repair and preventive maintenance to include but not limited to backup floor generator and UPS server room backup.
  • Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of Painting, Drywall, Electrical and other miscellaneous equipment repairs.
  • Works closely with vendors and contractors to implement facilities repairs and changes.
  • Required to provide secondary support for: Supplies/Equipment, Incoming/Outgoing Mail, Shipping/Receiving, Cubicle Service Requests and Inventory/Distribution, Key Box Management, and Fire Extinguishers/First Aid
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and effectively maintain assigned services that could include receptionist, office, cafeteria, mailroom, and shipping and receiving services.
  • Perform other duties or assignments as requested by the Facilities Services Supervisor and/or the IT Customer Advocacy Manager.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School graduate minimum or equivalent trade school training
  • Three years of facility experience -- ideally in a mid to larger size organization.
  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient with most areas of Facilities maintenance and repair.

  • Local travel as needed to perform primary position responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good driving record.
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime to meet position requirements.
  • Demonstrated technical ability and the associated initiative – especially with proven ability to work independently, plan daily work, and establish priorities to achieve unit’s required objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel/management/membership of LCEF.
  • Must maintain the highest level of integrity, be customer oriented and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Supports the team concept by maintaining a positive working relationship with team members and other service units.
