Reporting Relationships

  • Information Technology Intern reports to Lead Developer / Analyst.  

 

Essential Job Functions

With training provided by CPS on required technologies:

  • Develops new end user applications using asp.net and/or C# to ensure optimal system utilization and effectiveness.
  • Leverages and modifies current software and applications to improve functionality.
  • Assists with IT operations including deploying laptops, updating machines, working with Anti-Virus application and patch management solution.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Classified as college Sophomore, Junior or Senior
    • Minimum one semester programming, required
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Majors: Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology

 

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Software Languages: basic understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Database: basic understanding of relational databases a plus.
  • Development Platform: Visual Studio experience a plus.
  • Learns new skills easily; climbs learning curve rapidly; applies new knowledge quickly.
  • With direction, uses sound methods to solve problems, performs objective analysis, and engages others in analyzing and developing solutions.
