Description

Organization Profile

  • The primary mission of the LCEF is to provide funds to assist member congregations of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod, incorporated associations of member congregations and the Synod itself, including its colleges, seminaries and districts, with loans for sites and facilities in the Church's program of expansion; for the renovation and improvement of existing facilities; and for the refining of capital indebtedness.  A secondary mission of the LCEF is to motivate individuals, congregations, and synodical organizations to support the loan program through investments in LCEF.

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to the Marketing Support Manager.
  • Works closely with the staff of Investment Processing.

Essential Job Functions

  • Greets visitors to the LCEF offices in a friendly, professional, and helpful way, serving as a positive contact between the public and LCEF staff.
  • Enforces the Visitor Security Policy, ensuring visitors sign in, issues visitor badges, and notifies the appropiate employee of the guests arrival.
  • Ensures that the front desk is staffed 100% of the time.
  • Accepts and signs for mail, packages and other deliveries, then notifies Facilities Management.
  • Manages incoming faxes and sends to appropiate recipients.
  • Transcribes incoming voicemails and distributes to the Information Representatives.
  • Broadcast chapel announcements over the intercom system.
  • Receive, compose and distribute prayer requests.
  • Manage certain business reply mail accounts and produces a quarterly report of accounts.
  • Acts as Federal Express administrator for LCEF. Prepares invoice for billing and tracks inventory of shipping supplies.
  • Reserves conference rooms for LCMS staff (1333 building) as needed. 
  • Verifies documents that have been scanned into the imaging system for Investment Processing to ensure they have been accurately captured and indexed. Includes confidential documents.
  • Proofreads receipt letters to be sent to donors. Verifies donation information has been entered correctly into SIMS.
  • Assists with special mailings and preparation of materials for Investment Processing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years experience in related positions.
  • Typing skill of 50 wpm
  • Proficiency of secretarial skills, such as typing.
  • Knowledge of personal computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, Windows Operating System, imaging system, etc.).

  • Knowledge of personal computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, Windows Operating System, imaging system, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and language skills.  Command of proper English usage, spelling and grammar.  Accurate proofreader.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, telephone ettiquette, and social skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple assignments concurrently, prioritize them, and see that they are completed in the timeframes required. 
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Ability to work collectively with associates.
  • Ability to work under stressful pressures of time limitations.
