Organization Profile

The primary mission of the LCEF is to provide financial resources, support and related services for ministry, witness and outreach of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. In so doing it shall raise funds primarily through the issuance of corporate notes and other debit instruments. Its assets shall be used exclusively for the following: provide financing and services for the acquisition of sites; the construction of facilities; the purchase of buildings and equipment; operating expenses; rostered church worker education; the residential housing needs of rostered church workers; and other purposes approved by its governing board consistent with the ministry and mission of the Synod under policies approved by the Board of Directors of the Synod. 

 

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to the Director, Ministry Strategy
  • Serves as a member of the Marketing Department
  • Day-to-day relationship and partnership with Regional Vice President

 

Essential Job Functions

  • The Regional Marketing Manager reports to the Director, Ministry Strategy and maintains a strong relationship and partnership with the Regional Vice President and District Vice Presidents.
  • This position will serve as a member of the Marketing Department and is primarily responsible for ministry partner touchpoints, research, insights, and lead generation in his or her assigned region.
  • Work closely with the Director, Ministry Strategy, Regional Vice President and the region's District Vice Presidents to best serve our ministry partners and to achieve organizational goals. Collaborate with team members to build a successful, sustainable pipeline of leads of the regional area.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the field marketing operations and the national marketing team by close and ongoing collaboration with the Director, Ministry Strategy. Give ongoing and practical feedback to the Director, Ministry Strategy and the Regional Vice President on aspects of marketing implementations within assigned region.
  • Under the direction of the Director, Ministry Strategy and in close collaboration with the Regional Vice President and the District Vice Presidents, define a region-specific marketing plan based on the overall LCEF marketing strategy and regional goals. Implement marketing tactics through a number of effective and unique marketing channels in the region. Support overall marketing team goals and programs, ensuring their success in the region.
  • Stay on top of current trends and happenings in the districts to identify key marketing opportunities and channels that best reach and engage the target audience.
  • Utilize your business knowledge to problem solve and create new ideas under the direction of the Director, Ministry Strategy.
  • Provide analytics and insights on current marketing channels with the intention to place future focus on channels with the strongest return on investment (ROI).
  • Assist in identifying campaign strategies to reach ministry partners when and where they are most receptive.
  • Review data, analytics and trends in the field to share with the Director, Ministry Strategy and the Regional Vice-President to help build a robust plan to address any gaps in the region.
  • Identify and document success stories, feedback and/or testimonials within the region.
  • Optimize each marketing touchpoint using data, including top-of-funnel channels like social media and blogging, middle-of-funnel channels like email nurturing, and bottom-of-funnel activities with Regional Vice President and the region’s District Vice Presidents.
  • Through close collaboration with the District Vice Presidents, participate in regional specific events (conventions, conferences, workshops, etc.) to deepen relationships with partners and attract local prospects.
  • Work closely with the Regional Vice Presidents to develop and nurture an Advocate Program at select congregations and ministries.
  • Collaborate and partner with other team leads in the marketing department.
  • Travel to districts to partner with District Vice Presidents and for qualitative research.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director, Ministry Strategy.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Three to five years in Marketing, Business, Sales or Communications.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and its organization.
  • Supports and understands the mission and ministry of the Church.
