Reporting Relationships

  • Market Research Intern reports to Director, Market Research.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • External Analysis
    • Research competitive activity through digital marketing channels, including social media.
    • Use secondary research to provide insights to industry disrupters outside of CPS core offerings.
  • Internal Analysis
    • Uses both qualitative and quantitative analysis to measure marketing effectiveness.
    • Participate in primary research / user testing on CPS tools.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Classified as college Junior or Senior, preferred.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0, preferred.
  • Majors: Marketing, Business Administration.
  • Statistics – algebraic or calculus course preferred.  

     

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Familiarity with database marketing.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of basic market research concepts.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint), social media platforms, and Google Analytics, preferred.
  • Ability to articulate information simply and concisely that reflects CPS values (integrity, compassion, excellence, stewardship, accountability) in all internal and external communications. 
  • Steadfastly pushes self for results; self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision; maintains focus on organizational goals.
  • Participates fully on assigned teams; fosters a collaborative spirit; builds relationships within assigned department, CPS vendors and other CPS interns.
  • Interacts effectively with a wide variety of people; respectful and maintains the dignity of others; amicable; fosters differing opinions and values input from various perspectives.

  • Market Research Intern does not have supervisory responsibilities.
