Reporting Relationships

  • Analyst, Investment Operations reports to Director, Investment Operations



  • The Analyst, Investment Operations assists in all facets of the organization’s investment activities, including cash management, investment accounting and support senior management in assembling and analyzing data related to external investment managers.


Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews and processes capital calls and distributions for private equity and real estate investments as well as investment transactions related to investment manager fees, trust rebalancing and raising funds for liquidity purposes and other treasury functions as required.
  • Responsible for investment accounting and budgeting including reconciliation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports generated by custodial bank and investment managers.
  • Responsible for reconciling performance data between the custodian and investment consultant as well as producing and issuing monthly performance reports for all benefit plans.
  • Monitors the daily cash position and overlay strategies for each of the benefit plans to maintain the optimal level of cash, manager values and asset class exposures and prepares monthly cash flow analysis. 
  • Communicates investment transactions to investment/overlay managers, investment custodian, and investment consultant as required.
  • Supports senior management in assembling and analyzing data related to external managers as well as developing the knowledge and skills necessary for investment and financial analysis.
  • Maintains and develops relationships with internal departments, consultants and investment managers as required to maintain accurate and timely data reporting and accounting.    
  • Monitors regulatory changes that may affect investments and prepare investment footnotes and associated workpapers for the Concordia Plans annual audits.
  • Assists in data retention of all investment related documentation.
  • Assists in ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Occasional travel required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field. 
  • Minimum three years of experience in treasury, investments or accounting.
  • Experience in employee benefit, financial service or institutional investment environment, a plus.
