Reporting Relationships

  • Data Analyst reports to Lead Developer/Analyst, Information Technology.


Essential Job Functions

  • Work with business owners and enterprise business architecture team to develop proper analytics and implement through the use of business intelligence tools.
  • Recommend improvements in data structures with an emphasis on consistency, high performance, and reduced duplication.
  • Assist in the development of a CPS data management and governance plan for the Data Warehouse and other database and data-driven applications.
  • Perform analysis of business requirements and impact on the overall CPS data.
  • Maintain proper documentation of data flows, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensures data integrity and reliability for stakeholders.
  • Responsible for overseeing complex reports, queries, data analytics, and tools:
    • Writes, maintains and supports reports, queries, and dashboards.
    • Implements reporting strategies and processes.
    • Develops user guides and provides training.
    • Designs and supports report templates.
    • Provides analytical support to the team centered around reports and data.
    • Can work collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manages assigned relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to end users; supports resolution of issues, including working with IT to resolve tickets.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • More than five years of experience as a data analyst, system analyst or comparable position.
  • 1-3 years SQL Server experience, preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge with software development lifecycle, process improvement, and/or process reengineering.
  • Knowledge of three or more business functions such as customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), human resource information systems (HRIS), enterprise content management (ECM),  and business intelligence/data analytics (OLAP/ROLAP), preferred.
  • Knowledge of relational database methodologies, preferred.
  • Knowledge of BI Tools, preffered.
