Description

Organization Profile

  • Concordia Plan Services Walks Together with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod ministries by providing quality benefits and services that support the physical and financial health of members and their families. 

 

Reporting Relationships

  • Retirement Representative reports to Manager, Retirement Services.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Responds to specific retirement benefit inquires and assists members in use of online tools.
  • Employs case management methods and tools to complete the work cycle.
  • Calculates retirement benefits according to the Plan(s) and administrative policies; facilitates timely and accurate benefits being paid to members.
  • Seen as a recognized resource for the CRP. 
  • Anticipates and responds to CRP-specific inquiries from employers and members. 
  • Performs the processing of vested benefit kits/forms for members, determines benefits entitlements.
  • Consults with members to determine benefits entitlements and selections.
  • Performs system updates on vested and retired workers for all Plan benefits. 
  • Anticipates and responds to CRP-specific inquiries from employers and members. 
  • Devises, evaluates and employs methods and tools to complete the work cycle and ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Serves as a contact person for other CPS departments relating to CRP plan processes.
  • Ensures and cultivates confidentiality in handing sensitive payroll and benefit information. 
  • Utilizes standard operating procedures for the purpose of process integrity and stewardship.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Associate Degree or related work experience, required; Bachelor Degree, preferred.
  • Experience managing time-sensitive processes, deadlines, etc., with empathy and compassion.
  • Demonstrated delivery of accurate financial calculations, required.
  • Successful participation on collaborative team(s).
  • Experience in a customer service role, preferred.
  • Experience in retirement benefit plans or employee benefit industry, preferred.
  • Experience using workflow management technology, preferred.
  • One year of business office environment, preferred.
