Description The Global IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager is responsible for the predictable delivery of IT infrastructure improvements that lead to the ultimate vision and that provide business value. This will often require IT-wide, complex integration with other activities outside the scope of the IT Infrastructure team. To achieve on-time delivery, this role has end-to-end responsibility for the success of global IT infrastructure projects, including demand management, workload harmonization, and leading cross-functional teams in worldwide project execution.

This position plays three key functional roles:
• Lead the engineering of IT infrastructure solutions
• Manage demand for and portfolio of IT infrastructure solutions
• Manage IT Infrastructure finances & vendors

This position reports to the Sr. Director of IT Infrastructure with visibility to all levels of leadership within the company. This position may have few or no direct reports, but is expected to influence broadly and lead others to get results. An understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and solutions is required, although the role is not intended to be hands-on or an architect.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
• Delivers IT infrastructure engineering projects on-time, on-budget, and with expected quality
• Applies or blends traditional and Agile project management styles to balance stability with speed
• Manages multiple medium to large-scale IT infrastructure engineering projects from beginning to end
• Defines project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value
• Creates and leads ad hoc project teams of indirect/matrix staff through the duration of a project
• Organizes and leads project meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports
• Maintains project tracking, leveraging appropriate agile and traditional tools (JIRA, Project, Visio, etc.)
• Proactively manages risks and issues, removes roadblocks, and obtains necessary resources
• Manages business and senior leader expectations, and holds the project team accountable for delivering business value
• Communicates project status, deliverables, issues, and risks in a timely manner to stakeholders
• Manages vendors and external resources as necessary to achieve project deliverables

Portfolio Management
Identifies or receives JOB OVERVIEW
• incoming improvement opportunities (demand management)
• Advises requestors and assembles technical experts to build business cases
• Facilitates prioritization, load balancing and approval across IT teams and other stakeholders
• Defines project methodology and delivery standards for the organization
• Regularly engages global teams to manage demand and synchronize project execution

Finance and Vendor Management
• Manages team finance budget & spending, and drives cost savings 
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
• Proven ability to lead IT development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including executive leadership
• Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view
• Financial calculations, tracking and forecasting
• Key Leadership Competencies:
o Ability to deliver quality system initiatives on time, the first time
o Brings creativity and innovation to the role
o Has astute business judgment with excellent analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills to defuse conflict
o Can relate to all levels of the user community and translate technical language to lay audiences

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A technology-related bachelor's degree, or equivalent in training, plus 10+ years of related experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a successful project delivery record
• PMI Project Management Professional or similar certification
• Enterprise-level, cross-functional project management experience
• Experience with budgeting, accounting and similar financial management skills
• Balanced business and technical background; working knowledge of IT best practices and the current IT landscape as it relates to cloud services, networking, server infrastructure, communication, collaboration, and telephony tools
• ITIL framework or similar models for IT workflow
• Agile and DevOps culture, methodologies and certifications are a plus
• Golf, retail, design, and manufacturing principles is an asset
