Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a recent college graduate to join our growing team for the position of
SCADA Analyst. Candidate must be willing to gain experience with real time control systems in the Oil & Gas Industry!
The SCADA Analyst role is responsible for supporting the planning, development, installation and maintenance of the SCADA systems and applications running Buckeye's real time pipeline operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
SCADA Issue Resolution. Investigating, analyzing and correcting complex SCADA systems related problems.
Database Administration. Overseeing the SCADA database administration.
Maintenance. Maintaining existing hardware including computers, disk drives, work stations, communications modems and interconnection wiring and modifying existing computer systems for the purpose of increasing performance, providing for new requirements,
improving the user interface or adapting to system changes.
New SCADA Systems. Supporting the design, installation, test and implementation of new SCADA systems based on requirements of the Control Center or Field Operations departments.
RCA and RTU Support. Supporting areas related to RCAs (Remote Computer Adaptors) and RTUs including specifications, configurations, SCADA and operator interface, installation, operation, documentation, trouble shooting, technician support and training
and contractor/vendor utilization.
And other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
No previous related experience required.
Willingness to listen and learn from experienced pipeline personnel, abilty to follow directions, ability to rationalize system issues, troubleshoot and apply an appropriate solution.
Willingness to go the extra step and own system issues, following the issue all the way to resolution.
Ability to communicate with fellow team members and customers.
Understanding of pipeline hydraulics preferred.
