Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Contract/Temporary Emergency Response Plans Specialist to support our HSSE initiatives on a contract basis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:

Regulatory Plans (SPCC/ERAP/FRP/DOM/BMP)

Serve as a Technical Specialist in all regulatory plans. Conduct field inspections to ensure plans are in compliance with USCG/EPA/DOT/State programs.

Track plans discrepancies and facilitate with District personnel to correct.

Facilitate regulatory plan changes from the field to the Plans Management Database.

Ensure all plan changes are incorporated into controlled copies of plans and sent to regulatory agency to ensure consistency between Agency and Buckeye.

Work with Emergency Preparedness Manager to develop plan management processes

Incident Command System

Work with Emergency Preparedness Manager in developing skill sets as a lead trainer to support facilitated incident command system and functional positional training sessions

Assist the Emergency Preparedness Manager in facilitating District and Corporate exercises

Become a qualified Planning Section Chief of the Corporate Incident Management Assist Team and have the capability to be placed in any functional position within the Planning Section

Respond to incidents, as needed, as a member of the Corporate Incident Management Assist Team.

  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%)

  • And other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential role functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.

  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

  • This position requires compliance with all company personnel policies.

Safety and Physical Requirements:

  • This position may require exposure to hazardous environments and require the wearing of a respirator.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.

  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).

  • The employee is frequently required to effectively communicate with others.

  • This position requires the ability to work comfortably and safely in the proximity to open water.
