Buckeye Bahamas Hub, formerly Bahamas Oil Refining Company International Limited (BORCO), is the leading hub in the Caribbean region and the largest petroleum products terminal in the Western Hemisphere. The terminal has the ability to store, blend, transship and bunker fuel oil, crude oil and various petroleum products.

Buckeye Bahamas Hub (BORCO) was acquired in 2011 by Buckeye Partners L.P.

Buckeye Partners is looking to recruit a District Project Manager with experience in managing projects for pipelines and/or terminals to join our growing team! The District Project Manager role is responsible for managing the efforts of the District Project Team and providing technical support to Field Operations for the maintenance and operation of pipelines and terminal facilities within the District.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The following and other duties may be assigned.

§ Technical and Operational Expertise. Providing technical and operational expertise concerning District Field Operations. Support field Technicians and assist in their training.

§ Ensuring Compliance – Ensuring that Caribbean District Projects and pipeline/equipment repair methods comply with Company policies and that all project work proceeds within the requirements of each appropriate local, state, and federal regulatory agency.

§ Short-Term and Long-Term Planning. Developing short-term and long-term plans for District operational/maintenance needs to achieve District and Company goals.

§ New Business Projects – Supervising/supporting the development of scope, design and cost estimates for new business opportunities.

§ Contractor Management – Supporting hiring efforts of contractors for engineering, inspection and construction assistance.

§ Field Operations Support – Supporting Field Operations objectives and immediate needs even if required to perform tasks outside the normal area of expertise for the District Project Manager, such as the Manual review Committee, due diligence activities and PRCI.

§ Management – Supporting and managing efforts related to employee development, coaching and training.

Position Requirements:

§ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry or related experience required.

§ Master’s Degree in related discipline is a plus.

§ International and U. S. based experience required.

§ 10+ years of experience in managing projects for pipelines, refineries and/or terminals.

§ Experience and demonstrated aptitude in all phases of construction, and operations of pipeline, station, and terminal facilities required.

§ The candidate must be proficient using Microsoft Office, and applicable project management software.

§ A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is required.

§ Ability to speak Spanish and English fluently preferred.

§ Ability to travel up to 50%
