Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a District Training Specialist with experience in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team!

The District Training Specialist is responsible for supporting District management in the implementation of the assigned District(s) training program, including planning, coordinating, implementing, and documenting (record keeping) the Company Training Program
within the assigned District(s).
The District Training Specialist will also assist in developing training modules.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:
Assist Operations Managers in planning, scheduling and coordinating training for Asset Team members, which will be conducted by qualified Train-the-Trainers or subject matter experts.
Assist the District Director, District Project Manager and District Advisor in planning, scheduling and coordinating training for District Staff members, which will be conducted by qualified Train-the-Trainers or subject matter experts.
Assist District management in implementing the Company Training Program as detailed in the Training Manual and ensuring and improving performance through effective training.
Coordinate annual Field Technician Training meetings within the assigned District(s).
Conduct training on topics that the District Training Specialist is a subject matter expert, including presenting the Train-the-Trainer modules to selected District employees. Periodically evaluate qualified Train-the-Trainers to ensure effective implementation
of training modules.
Assist as needed in providing Contractor training and Project Inspector Training.
Develop training modules for the Company Training Program as requested by the Manager, Operations and Technical Training.
Ensure the Learning Management System is used to enter employee training completion within the District. Track employee training and provide periodic training status reports to District management.
Identify training needs/gaps in collaboration with District management by developing KPI’s to enable evaluation of the training program(s).
Assist Corporate Training Specialists with implementation of the Company Training Program as needed.
Assist the Manager, Operations and Technical Training in evaluating training program effectiveness.
Maintain the District Training Calendar.
And other duties as assigned.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in education, communication, training and development, or instructional design is preferred.
5-7+ years previous experience in training development and program coordination is preferred.
Experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
Travel Requirements: 35-40%

Must have excellent classroom presentation and distance learning presentation skills.
Must be able to develop effective operations training modules, which consist of an Instructor Guide, Presentation Material, Performance Checklist, and Written Test.
Must be able to populate, update and run reports using a Learning Management System.
Excellent oral and written communications skills are essential.
Self-motivated and a team player.
Ability to interact with employees at all levels within the organization.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications.

Physical & Safety Requirements:
This position may require exposure to hazardous environments in the field asset teams.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee is frequently required to effectively communicate with others.
