Job Title:                                          Coordinator

Payroll Status:                                 Hourly/Non-Exempt

Summary of Coordinator Duties:

The Coordinator is responsible for the daily oversight and operation of the Navigator program. They provide supervision, support and direction. They encourage program participants to provide exceptional customer service at all times. He/She will develop a good working relationship with volunteers, while providing a professional and supportive environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the daily operation of the offices and oversight of the Navigator Volunteers, mentor and trainees, while assuring terminal coverage at all times.
  • Process all volunteer vacation/time-off requests
  • Provide shift briefings for the Navigators
  • Provide two-way radio instruction and support to Navigators
  • Responsible for enforcement of daily operational policies and procedures
  • Maintain all volunteer files and provide program documentation as required
  • Responsible for daily shift reports
  • Responsible for daily volunteer calling list
  • Assure compliance with ATS and Airport policies and procedures
  • Answer telephones and other essential office tasks
  • Assure kitchen and office cleanliness and restock supplies as needed
  • Make coffee for each shift
  • Meet, greet and thank all volunteers and employees at the conclusion of their shift
  • Have an in-depth working knowledge of the Airport
  • Demonstrate good judgement, professionalism, ability to work independently, time- management

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Navigator volunteer schedule
  • Inventory management for Navigator items
  • Sunshine cards for volunteers
  • Scavenger hunt revisions/updates
  • Airport events
  • Navigator volunteer training
  • Preparing supply orders for the COP and ATS
  • Working cooperatively with the COP PR department on the yearly Navigator event

Working Conditions:

  • Work in the Terminal 4 office
  • Must be flexible to work scheduled and/or non-scheduled hours as required
  • This position requires weekend coverage
